Description

I see building my first RepRap as an opportunity to draw together my many interests and skills, those that I have honed over many years, into one fantastic project. 20 years ago I thought I had put my soldering iron in the bin for good, and that all engineering would be soft. How wrong I was, RepRap is the inspiration for this, and Malcolm & Hannah are my guiding light.

The closest I came to RepRap experience was working as a maintainer, installer and sales role for a 3 axis co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM) company. We linked them to production lines from Robot CAD/CAM applications to fully manual precision production. My electronics experience is limited to building Elektor kits and producing a 7-segment replacement for a Nixie-Tube display.
